Slightly further from Main Train Station than described but Underground close by.

I arrived late but the hotel staff had stayed back to wait for me and let me in (I had telephoned in advance to warn of my late arrival). Even so, this was much appreciated at the end of a long and tiring journey.

No cornflakes at breakfast.

I recently stayed at Hotel Engelbert for a few nights and it was a delightful experience. The hotel is clean, cozy, and located conveniently close to the metro station. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Georgiana, one of the managers, stood out with her kindness and assistance. The mattresses were comfortable, the heating worked perfectly, and the breakfast offered a good variety at a reasonable price. The spaciousness of the 3-bed suite was impressive, making it a great value for the price.

Excellent staff and excellent value for money. Located close to the U- bahn just outside the city center. Free parking, free public transport card, no hidden fees.

I booked a suite but when I arrived, they gave me a standard room without informing me. When I saw it was not a suite, I asked why and they told me they have no more suite available but they'll offer the breakfast.

We had a good stay. The hotel is in a residential area a little way from the city centre but it offers free transport tickets and there are underground, bus and tram stops very close. Good rooms and good breakfasts. There is an excellent Greek restaurant close by. Staff wewre friendly and helpful.

Good and fast connection to City Center, city transport travel card were offered form hotel as bonus with no extra charge. Good and reasonably priced WiFi connection, WLAN account works in all "Telekom" hotspots in the City, not only in the hotel.

Ideal location, friendly staff, well-equipped room, nearby shops, convenient transportation, quiet area.

I liked that the hotel offered free public transport tickets and that there is an U-bahn close to it.

The hotel is very noisy, it's like they have paper walls and doors, you can hear all the guest walking & talking in the stairway,

This is a small hotel on the edge of the main city centre. However, it is very close to one of the most useful underground lines. The provision of a free public transport pass is certainly a bonus (you can travel as far as Dortmund!). It is fundamentally confortable with the provision of a good breakfast (at a small extra charge). I only saw two staff, but they were both very helpful and friendly.

I requested a non-smoking room, but having settled in, realised there was an ash tray. The room opposite was clearly occupied by a smoker and the fumes poured out when the door was open. These filled the corridor and permeated my own room to some extent. This is the main reason I have marked down on cleanliness and comfort.

I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel! The location was great, with the subway station just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were kept clean throughout my stay. I also appreciated the attention to detail, like the free parking nearby. The breakfast spread was delicious, with plenty of choices to start the day off right. Definitely great value for money!

Hotel provided free metro pass to go around the city and the Old Town is only 5 stops away, the hotel staff was welcoming and tried to help as much as possible.

In hotel description it says that free parking is available, however the parking itself is almost impossible to access and I would not recommend using it. On the bright side it's still possible to find places to park in the nearby area.
